New 775-seat school opened in Khoroshevo-Mnevniki

A new school with an area of almost 15,000 square meters with 775 places has opened in Khoroshevo-Mnevniki. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Sunday, October 26.

He noted that the building was built by an investor as part of a residential area at 36a Shelepikhinskaya Embankment. The school's area is almost 15,000 square meters, and its architecture resembles a butterfly: one wing is designed for elementary grades, and the other for primary and high schools. The central part unites the school-wide infrastructure, according to the Moscow City News Agency.

Sobyanin stressed that the new school has created all the conditions for modern forms of education: an IT training ground, specialized classrooms for physics, astronomy, biology and chemistry, engineering and academic laboratory and research complexes are equipped. There are also two gyms, a soccer field, a running track, and playgrounds for games and school events.

He added that since 2011, 19 educational facilities have already been built in Khoroshevo-Mnevniki, which has allowed for the creation of over 6,000 new places in schools and kindergartens in the district, writes Moscow 24.

On October 24, it was reported that a new school for 1.2 thousand children will appear in the Solntsevo area in 2026. A new academic building of school No. 1542 is being built on Promyshlennaya Street. Comfortable conditions for study and work will be created in the four-storey building, the NSN reports.
