Employees of the Moscow Zoo saved the life of a bat named Alex
On October 26, employees of the Moscow Zoo reported saving the life of a bat named Alex, which belongs to a species called the gigantic vechernitsa (the largest bats in Europe and Russia).
"Alex is a giant party girl who came to us in extremely serious condition. The kid suffered severe fractures, and his future hung in the balance. But our veterinarians did not give up. Having shown real skill and jewelry precision, they literally "reassembled" Alex," the Moscow zoo said in a Telegram channel message.
The publication clarifies that the stressed animal has now been officially assigned to a Bat Rehabilitation Center, where it will be cared for, no longer able to live in the wild. According to the zoo, Alex's new habitat offers treats, massages and safety.
On October 11, the press service of the Moscow Zoo announced the birth of a baby monkey of the Diana species listed in the Red Book. It was noted that the baby was born on September 1, and two weeks later he began to crawl off his mother, named Fiona, and explore the world around him.
