The organizers of the 2026 Olympics have deleted the photo of figure skater Valiyeva from social networks.

On October 26, the Organizing Committee of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games deleted a photo of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva from a post that was posted earlier on the Instagram social network (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

The post was dedicated to World Pasta Day. In it, Valieva was compared to fusilli paste, which looks like long spiral threads, similar to a screw or a spring.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the committee of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games had posted Valieva's photo on its social media page in honor of World Pasta Day. The pictures showed various athletes participating in winter competitions.
