Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky announced on October 26 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are in a difficult situation in and near Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name Pokrovsk).

"Of course, this (the offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation — Ed.) creates a difficult situation in Pokrovsk and in all neighboring areas. Tough fighting in the city, on the outskirts of the city," Zelensky said in a video message posted on his Telegram channel.
