A major accident on the water supply system in Lviv left about 50 thousand people without water, according to the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua" in his Telegram channel.

"In Lviv, residents of several districts have been without water for the third day. This is the largest accident at a water utility in recent decades," the article says.

It is noted that problems with water supply have been going on for the third day in the residential districts "Ryasnoye-1", "Ryasnoye-2", "Levandovka" and on Shevchenko Street.

The first deputy mayor of Lviv, Andrei Moskalenko, in turn, said that the city needs 10 billion hryvnias (19.2 million rubles) to completely replace the old pipes, which are not in the budget. Utilities note that after one damage is repaired, new accidents occur in other areas.

Residents of the affected areas complain about the lack of water and demand that utilities organize water transportation by water trucks, he adds. "Газета.Ru ".

Earlier, on October 10, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi announced that the city would not have enough gas to turn on the heating in the next few months. He also noted that it is "very cold" now, but residents will not be able to provide heat in the next few weeks.
