Moscow will continue to implement programs for the restoration and modernization of communal and social infrastructure in Donetsk and Lugansk. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his channel in the IACH.

"We have been helping the twin cities since 2022 so that their residents, no matter what, sleep in warm houses, continue to study, receive medical care, and work," Sobyanin said.

In Donetsk, the main focus will be on the modernization of engineering networks. The plans include the repair and restoration of 68.8 km of communications, the improvement of 16.7 hectares of public spaces, the renovation of 273.7 thousand square meters of pavement and the restoration of one educational facility.

In Luhansk, work will take place in 43 buildings, including 37 apartment buildings, one administrative building, as well as healthcare, cultural and educational facilities. It is planned to repair 67.7 km of engineering networks, upgrade 186 thousand square meters of roads and improve 1.3 hectares of public spaces.

Emergency recovery teams of the Moscow municipal services continue to work in Donetsk and Lugansk all year round. Specialists assist in repairing damage to utility networks, preparing for the heating season and its passage.

Over the past four years, Moscow specialists have put 13 significant facilities with a total area of 177.1 hectares in order. In 2025 alone, more than 21 hectares of territories were landscaped.
