November holidays – 2025: how banks, post offices and hospitals will work

In early November, National Unity Day will be celebrated in Russia, and the work schedule of many government agencies will change. The holiday weekend will last from November 2 to November 4. Citizens are advised to familiarize themselves with the schedule in advance and plan visits to receive services. Izvestia reports on how banks, post offices, and hospitals will operate during the November holidays of 2025.

Bank opening hours

During the holidays, banks traditionally reduce their presence in offices. The main burden falls on online services and ATMs, which remain available around the clock. Below is an approximate schedule approved by a number of major banks.

• Saturday, November 1st:It is a working day, but banks will operate on a reduced schedule. Their service will be completed an hour earlier.

• Sunday, November 2, and Monday, November 3: Many branches will switch to a weekend schedule.

• Tuesday, November 4 (National Unity Day): a non-working holiday, which will be a day off for most banks as well.

• Wednesday, November 5: banks will return to normal operation.

How the mail will work

On public holidays, most Russian Post offices are closed, and on public holidays they operate on a reduced schedule. Some items, such as letters and newspapers, are not being delivered these days. However, pensions and benefits are usually delivered earlier.

At the moment, there is no officially approved schedule for the November weekend, but, in advance, it may be as follows:

• November 1 — shortened working day;
• November 2, 3 and 4 are days off, except for round—the-clock post offices;
• November 5 is the standard schedule.

However, the opening hours of clinics may change. Many medical institutions have already published the schedule on their websites. It looks like this:

• November 1 is a scheduled working day from 08:00 to 19:00 (one hour shorter);
• November 2 is a day off.
• November 3 is a Saturday working day from 08:00 to 15:00;
• November 4 is a non—working holiday;
• November 5 is a standard working day from 08:00 to 20:00.

Public service centers "My documents"

The schedule of the My Documents multifunctional centers during the November holidays will also be different. It is usually published a week before the holiday date. An approximate operating mode that will operate in the regions can be compiled for the Moscow region, where the schedule is already known.

• On November 1 and 3, all departments will conduct reception as usual.;
• November 2 is a working day for the IFC with a seven—day working week.;
• November 4 is an official day off;

Weddings on holidays, as a rule, are not held, except in certain cases, which need to be found out in advance. The reception of citizens will be carried out in the regular mode from November 5. The first day of the month is a working day, but due to the holiday, the registry offices will close earlier.

During the holiday weekend from November 2 to November 4, 2025, citizens are advised to adhere to the following rules:

• plan visits in advance, especially for visits to banks and government agencies.;

• using online services — mobile applications of banks, the Gosuslugi portal and websites of departments allow you to solve many issues remotely.;

• To clarify information, work schedules may vary even within the same network of institutions, so it's worth checking the current schedule on the organization's official website or by phone.
