Russian hockey player, Stanley Cup winner and Olympic champion Alexander Mogilny will not be able to attend the induction ceremony into the Hockey Hall of Fame. This was announced on October 24 by the head of the press service of the Hall of Fame, Kelly Massey.
"Alexander Mogilny has confirmed that he will not be able to personally attend the Hockey Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2025," she wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Massey added that his fans will be able to hear his performance: the hockey player's speech will be broadcast as part of the event, which will take place on November 10 in Toronto.
Earlier, on June 24, it became known that Mogilny would be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2025. It was clarified that he won the World Championship in 1989 and the gold medal at the Winter Olympics in 1988.
