A day earlier, it became known about the detention of the head of the DIA Melnikov. The detention concerns a corruption case.
"No, I don't think I'm ready to comment on this topic right now," Nabiullina replied to a question from reporters.
When asked about Melnikov's possible resignation and the consideration of candidates to replace him, the head of the Central Bank also did not comment.
Earlier, on October 23, the head of the DIA, Andrei Melnikov, pleaded not guilty to fraud after being detained. The lawyer of the former head of the DIA said that Melnikov had been given a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months. In addition, the defense intends to appeal against this court ruling.
