The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on abuse of office against the former head of the Rostov-on-Don city administration, Alexei Logvinenko. This was announced on October 24 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia Svetlana Petrenko.

According to the investigation, in 2020, Logvinenko, as the head of the Rostov-on-Don City Administration, contrary to the requirements of budget legislation, attracted a loan from a commercial bank. As a result of his illegal actions, the city's budget suffered damage in the amount of more than 47 million rubles.

Logvinenko has been detained, and a petition has been sent to the court to impose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
