The military of the Russian Armed Forces spoke about the continuation of the offensive in Kupyansk

Russian units continue their offensive in Kupyansk, occupying key neighborhoods and blocking supply routes for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On October 23, Izvestia showed footage of the Russian Armed Forces working in the special operation zone.

"Right now we can see how Peony is taking a position, choosing a place. Gunners are already working, there are coordinates. A minute's readiness, and the gun will be ready for battle," Izvestia correspondent Emil Timashev reports from the front line.

The main targets of the artillery were hangars in the vicinity of Kupyansk, where the enemy stores weapons and repairs equipment. The fire is adjusted by a Russian drone, which transmits the image to the command post of the 45th Artillery Brigade.

It is noted that street fighting does not stop in the city. The Russian Armed Forces assault groups are consistently clearing buildings, pushing the AFU units back to the Oskol River. The enemy is unable to replenish supplies quickly, and its few vehicles are subjected to continuous attacks from the air.

"The enemy is throwing up the last reserves. Previously, there was much more activity, and the movement of vehicles and artillery worked harder. Now it's much less," the UAV operator with the call sign Oreon confirmed.

On September 24, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian military personnel had seized 115 buildings in the city of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region. The day before, on September 23, over the past month, according to the ministry, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 1.8 thousand militants while holding Kupyansk. Then it was noted that control over the settlement would allow in the future to develop an offensive deep into the Kharkiv region.

On September 3, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of the Russian-controlled territories of Kupyansk. It was noted that at the moment, about half of the city's territory is under the control of the Russian Armed Forces.
