In Ireland, three police officers were hospitalized with injuries, and 24 people, including two minors, were detained as a result of riots near the Citywest Hotel in Saggart. This was reported on October 22 by The Irish Times newspaper, citing local law enforcement agencies.

"Three Garda Sheehan police officers (National Police Service and Security Service of the Republic of Ireland. — Ed.) were hospitalized, and 24 people were arrested on the second night of the riots," the newspaper reports.

According to police, the protesters threw stones, flares, glass bottles and wooden boards at law enforcement officers. The publication clarified that about 500 people took part in the riots, and about 300 police officers were mobilized to suppress the protests.

The Irish Times reported on October 21 that mass protests broke out in Ireland after a 10-year-old girl was raped by an African migrant in a refugee camp. In Saggart in South Dublin, protesters gathered outside the former Citywest Hotel, which is currently being used to house people seeking international protection.
