Moscow has become a competence center for the implementation of artificial intelligence in medicine for the whole country. This was announced on Wednesday, October 22, by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor for Social Development.

She recalled that after the launch of the MosMedIA system, 74 regions of Russia joined it. On behalf of the President and with the support of the Ministry of Health, the project made it possible to scale the capital's digital solutions to the whole country. Currently, computer vision technologies for the analysis of radiation studies are used in 74 regions, and over 20 million images have already been analyzed with the help of AI, of which 65% came from the regions, Moscow 24 writes.

Rakova noted that such technologies speed up and simplify the description of studies, as well as reduce their cost, making diagnostics more accessible.

Moscow has been actively digitalizing the healthcare system for more than a decade. Smart solutions have become part of the daily work of doctors, helping to speed up diagnosis, treatment and improve the quality of medical care, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
