On October 22, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski "Osama ben Sikorsky" after his words about the explosion of the Druzhba oil pipeline.

"From Osama ben Sikorsky's point of view, what other civilian infrastructure facilities should be destroyed?" — she told the TASS news agency.

Earlier in the day, Sikorski, in response to a publication by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, who ridiculed the words of the Polish Foreign Minister about the possible landing of Russian President Vladimir Putin's plane on the orders of the International Criminal Court (ICC), expressed hope that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) would be able to disable the Druzhba oil pipeline.

In August, Szijjarto reported on another Ukrainian attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline on the Russian-Belarusian border. As a result of the attack, oil supplies to Hungary were stopped. Szijjarto also expressed the opinion that Ukraine would not have been able to carry out the attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline without coordinating its actions with the European Commission (EC), personally its Chairman Ursula von der Leyen and the leaders of the European Union (EU) countries.
