Iran has refused to negotiate on its nuclear program due to US demands
Tehran will not return to negotiations with the United States on its nuclear program as long as Washington makes unreasonable demands. This was reported on October 22 by The Times of Israel newspaper, quoting the words of the country's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
"The negotiations that were ongoing with the United States, as well as the negotiations in New York, were suspended and did not move forward due to excessive demands from the United States," Araqchi said.
It is also noted that Iran has consistently denied attempts to acquire nuclear weapons.
Earlier, on October 11, Iran terminated the implementation of the Cairo agreements with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on the nuclear program reached in Egypt. Araqchi added that at the same time, possible reports from the IAEA on the proposal to resume cooperation will be considered by the Supreme National Security Council of Iran (NSDC).
