IBSF appealed to the IOC to clarify the rules for the admission of Russians

The International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) has sent a request to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) demanding written confirmation of the rules governing the admission of Russian athletes to the competition. This was announced on October 21 by Anatoly Pegov, President of the Russian Bobsleigh Federation.

Earlier, the federation's website stated that the IBSF executive committee would meet on Tuesday, October 21, in order to analyze the order and discuss the next steps.

"We have received an official letter from the international federation stating that following the decision of the IBSF Appeals Tribunal that Russian athletes who comply with the IOC rules on the neutrality of individual athletes to participate in the Olympics can participate in IBSF competitions, the international federation has asked the IOC to provide written confirmation of these rules," he said.
