FT: the European Union may ban the use of ethyl alcohol in medical institutions

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) may classify ethyl alcohol (ethanol) as carcinogenic substances, which will lead to a ban on its use in medical institutions. This was reported by the Financial Times newspaper on October 21.
It is noted that on October 10, one of the ECHA working groups published an internal recommendation in which ethanol was called a toxic substance that increases the risk of cancer and pregnancy complications.
