No state will be able to ban Russian President Vladimir Putin's plane from flying over its airspace for the upcoming meeting with American leader Donald Trump in Hungary. This was announced on October 20 by Honored pilot of Russia Yuri Sytnik.

"All flights are managed by Eurocontrol, which is located in Brussels. This is a unified management system for Europe, Asia, or the continent in general. This has been done for a long time and is very good, because all flights are registered. And it doesn't matter if there are restrictions or sanctions when there are applications for the flight of the presidential plane, as such restrictions do not apply to it," he said in an interview with Regnum news agency.

He clarified that such flights are always monitored by a variety of Russian systems, and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are on alert.

"Our president has already flown to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) like this. The plane was also escorted on flights to Syria. There's nothing wrong with this flight. The only thing is to identify the countries that are loyal. Who may not be our great friends, but they are not our enemies either," he explained.

He also said that such statements are made by people who have nothing to do with decision-making, and the goal is to create tension.

"Who's that saying 'we don't allow it'? This is someone who just wants to express a general opinion. And at the governmental level, when the government of a country or the president makes a decision, they understand how a quarrel with Russia can end. We are peaceful people, but our armored train is on a siding," Sytnik summed up.

On October 20, Zoltan Koshkovich, an analyst at the Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights, assured that Hungarian specialized services would provide security for the Russian president and the head of the White House during their summit in Budapest. Koshkovich also added that the protection of both presidents is of paramount importance for Hungary.

On October 19, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto announced that every effort would be made to ensure a successful meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States.

On October 16, Trump announced a meeting with Putin in Hungary, and also called his phone conversation with him productive. Later, he hoped for the summit to be held within two weeks.
