The Evolute i-Sky crossover has significantly fallen in price in Russia

Russian electric car manufacturer Evolute has started selling a new version of the i-Sky crossover. The City Edition version features a lower-capacity battery and a lower price, according to a company press release received by Izvestia on October 20.

In the new version, the electric vehicle has become 30 kg lighter thanks to the installation of a new generation LFP traction battery. Its capacity is 64.4 kWh. The power reserve for the WLTP cycle is 400, and the maximum speed is 180 km/h. The usual i-Sky is equipped with a lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt-oxide battery with a capacity of 85.9 kWh, which has a charge of 511 km. The traction battery of the City Edition version charges faster — from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes versus 45 minutes earlier.

The i-Sky City Edition is cheaper than usual, the cost of the Comfort version, including the state subsidy— is 2 million 290 thousand rubles. The Premium version, which has a panoramic sunroof, parking sensors, an all-round viewing system, adaptive cruise control and an advanced driver assistance package, costs from 2 million 490 thousand rubles. For comparison, a regular i-Sky will cost 2 million 995 thousand rubles.

Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation published a primary list of cars that meet the requirements of the law on taxi localization, which will be operational from March 2026. More than 20 models of six Russian brands meet the criteria of the law. The list includes seven Lada models. From UAZ, the list includes off-road vehicles "Patriot" and "Hunter". From the domestic manufacturer Sollers, the Sollers SP7 minivan was included in the list and the entire model range of the Moskvich automobile plant. In addition, the taxi localization law applies to models manufactured at a factory in the Lipetsk region. These are Evolve i-Pro, i-Joy, i-Sky, i-Jet, i-Space, as well as Voyah Free, Dream and Passion.
