The Israeli championship football match was canceled due to pyrotechnics.
In Tel Aviv, before the match between Hapoel and Maccabi football clubs, fans began using pyrotechnics, which caused the game to be canceled. This was announced on October 19 by the Sports Walla portal.
It is noted that fans threw flares and bottles at the field and each other.
"At first, the starting whistle for the game was postponed and the players who had already gone up to warm up were forced to go down to the locker rooms, but after consultations between the police chiefs and the police commissioner, it was decided to announce the cancellation of the game," the publication says.
According to the portal, three local police officers and five fans were injured in the stands during the incident. Soon the match was canceled and more than 30 thousand football fans left the Bloomfield Stadium, where the match was supposed to take place.
