The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has published footage of the liberation of Poltava in the Zaporozhye region.

The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces liberated the village of Poltavka in the Zaporizhia region. Footage of combat work was published on October 19 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the ministry, the assault was complicated by the need to cross the river in several sectors of the front. Thanks to complex air and artillery strikes, as well as the support of drone operators, Russian military personnel were able to liberate Poltava.

As a result of the fighting, the enemy lost a prepared defense area of more than 12 square kilometers. In addition, over 500 buildings were cleared by assault units.

Earlier that day, it was reported that Russian military personnel had liberated the settlement of Chunishino in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Poltava in the Zaporizhia region. It was noted that the Ukrainian side lost up to 485 people there, as well as a tank, a Cossack armored fighting vehicle, six vehicles and an artillery piece.
