The president of Venezuela announced the US strike on a civilian boat

The United States should officially clarify the situation after the strike on the ship in Colombian waters. This was announced on October 18 by Colombian President Gustavo Petro on the social network X.

According to him, this strike sank a civilian boat, resulting in the death of a Colombian sailor.

"The United States has committed murder and violated our sovereignty in our territorial waters. The fisherman was not involved in drugs. The Colombian boat drifted and its engine failed," he said.

The politician clarified that the United States attacked the boat with the engine raised, which indicated a malfunction of the vessel. An experienced sailor, Alejandro Caranza, was in the vehicle.

Even Colombia and Brazil sided with Caracas, despite diplomatic contradictions.

A day earlier, the US military launched a new attack on a ship in the Caribbean Sea allegedly carrying drugs. The anonymous official noted that the United States is carrying out such attacks allegedly as part of the fight against drug-terrorist groups from Venezuela.

Also on October 14, six people died as a result of a similar strike on the ship. According to him, US President Donald Trump, American intelligence confirmed that the ship was carrying drugs and was linked to illegal drug-terrorist networks.
