Guards Junior Sergeant Babushkin planned the capture of the AFU stronghold

Junior Sergeant Pavel Babushkin, a senior scout of the Guard's deep reconnaissance company, planned the seizure of a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in one of the districts of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in the special military operation zone. The Russian Defense Ministry announced the exploits of Russian servicemen on Sunday, October 19.

It is specified that the junior sergeant, having received a combat mission to capture the stronghold of the Ukrainian military, organized the group's advance to the border and planned the capture of the fortified point. After waiting until dark and carefully examining the situation, the group under Babushkin's command secretly bypassed the stronghold occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the rear and struck with an anti-tank guided missile. Babushkin himself killed five Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel during the operation.

After that, Junior Sergeant Babushkin gave the order to storm the stronghold with the use of fragmentation grenades. The reconnaissance group successfully captured and held the line until the arrival of the reinforcement forces.

Thanks to Babushkin's actions, Russian military personnel (RF Armed Forces) captured the fortified positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which served as a base for the development of further offensive.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the senior gunner of the guard, Corporal Anton Knyazev, who killed up to 15 personnel of the Ukrainian army in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) area.

It is noted that during the reconnaissance Knyazev found several people of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Having determined the exact coordinates of the target, the corporal handed them over to the senior officer at the battery and began to adjust the fire. During the adjustment of fire, Anton was subjected to artillery fire from the Ukrainian military, however, despite the danger, he continued his work.

Thanks to the personal courage of the guard of Corporal Anton Knyazev, they managed to destroy up to 15 personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which allowed the assault units to break through the defenses of the Ukrainians and gain a foothold on new frontiers.

Earlier, on October 18, Guard Corporal Fatkulov destroyed an APU drone while transporting personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It is specified that during the transportation of the Russian military, Fatkulov noticed an APU drone approaching the transport. To save the lives of his comrades, the corporal, without slowing down, made a sharp maneuver and drove into a wooded area. After stopping, he gave the command to disperse through the forest belt and take up positions to search for and destroy the Ukrainian drone. Fatkulov himself destroyed the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with fire from standard small arms, which did not manage to damage either the equipment or the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
