Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was outraged by the way terrorists were called rebels on Western channels. This was reported on October 17 by the RT TV channel.

"It still causes outrage when terrorists who took hostages and organized deadly bombings in our cities, schools, hospitals were called rebels on the air of well—known Western channels," Putin said, speaking at the channel's 20th anniversary.
