A criminal case has been opened in Vladivostok on embezzlement in the process of waste disposal at a MSW landfill. The decision was made after a prosecutor's review of the activities of the KGUP "PEO". The company is responsible for disposal.

According to IA PrimaMedia, with reference to the press service of the Amur Basin Environmental Prosecutor's Office, from June 2024 to March 2025, the company transferred money to individual entrepreneurs for moving and dumping waste at a landfill near Kholmistaya Street. At the same time, there was no verification of the actual volume of work performed.

The use of the GLONASS system to account for the working hours of special equipment is mandatory. Despite this, acceptance certificates were signed without this data.

As a result, the company unreasonably paid for virtually unfulfilled work for a total amount exceeding 9.6 million rubles. The actions of the officials were classified as negligence. The criminal case was initiated under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, on October 15, it was reported that in Vladivostok, the police closed two illegal casinos that had been operating for more than a year in the Sovetsky district of the city. A criminal case has been opened. The investigation believes that an organized criminal group organized the operation of two illegal casinos in non-residential premises on Russian Street and 100 Let Vladivostok Avenue. The establishments operated from August 2024 to October 2025.
