In Chengdu, China, where a Xiaomi driver was trapped inside a burning car as a result of an accident, eyewitnesses tried to save the man by opening the doors or breaking the windows, but they could not do so. According to Khalilov, they should have taken any solid object (brick, stone, etc.), but not tried to break the glass with their hands, which could be fraught with serious injuries.

"At the same time, it is necessary to hit the corner of the glass: upper, lower, any one. But not in the center. Don't think that Hollywood movies that show glass being punched out are true," the Quto expert was quoted as saying on October 16.

The specialist clarified that passing motorists can use a jack, a fire extinguisher or a cylinder wrench to rescue the injured, and passengers of a damaged car can try to knock out the glass with the headrest removed.
