China rejects the imposition of unilateral sanctions and any other forms of pressure from the United States because of cooperation with Russia. This was announced on October 16 by the press secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Washington, Liu Pengyu.

"China firmly rejects any illegal unilateral sanctions, expansion of jurisdiction and any form of coercion and pressure," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

This was stated at the embassy after the words of US President Donald Trump, who during his speech at the White House called on China to abandon Russian oil.

The press secretary of the diplomatic mission pointed out the reasonableness and legitimacy of cooperation between countries, including China and the Russian Federation, within the framework of the international community. According to him, such relationships should be protected and respected.

On October 15, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that India had started paying for Russian oil in Chinese yuan, but the percentage of such payments was still not high. He clarified that in most cases, India conducts settlements with Russian oil suppliers in rubles.

On October 11, it was reported that Russia and China will expand cooperation in the field of waste management: the countries will exchange experience and technologies in this industry. The Chinese representatives noted the positive changes in the Russian waste management industry and expressed their readiness for investment cooperation and technology exchange.
