As part of the two new agreements, Berlin will transfer two IRIS-T air defense systems and ammunition to Kiev. This was announced on October 15 by the head of the German Ministry of Defense, Boris Pistorius.

"We will continue to strengthen Ukraine's air defense through new contracts for the supply of two more IRIS-T air defense systems, including a large number of guided missiles, as well as man-portable air defense systems," the minister said during a meeting of the contact group on Ukraine.
