The program of the fourth Russian Wine Forum was presented in Moscow

A press conference dedicated to the events of the fourth Russian Wine Forum was held in Moscow at the MIA Rossiya Segodnya press center. One of the key events for the wine industry will be held on November 12-13, 2025 for the fourth time.

The main topic of the press conference was the program of the upcoming event. The theme of the forum's plenary session is "Russian Wine. The First five-year plan", dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the entry into force of Federal Law No. 468 "On Viticulture and Winemaking in the Russian Federation", revolutionary for the industry.

Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center, spoke about the work of the Interdepartmental Commission on the Formation, Conservation and Use of collections of genetic resources of Autochthonous Grape Varieties and the National Center for Genetic Resources of Autochthonous Grape Varieties.

"Our unique capabilities in the field of genome decoding allow us to present wine as a chain of genomic interactions. We have sequenced about 1,000 grape varieties, of which about 200 are autochthonous. This will bring the Russian and Soviet scientific heritage in the field of viticulture and winemaking to a qualitatively new level," he said.

Andrey Reut, First Deputy Director of the Roscongress Foundation, emphasized the importance of the forum as a platform for uniting the efforts of all participants: "Over the four years of its operation, the Russian Wine Forum has established itself as a space for effective interaction between the industry and legislative authorities, key regulators and the scientific community. I am sure that in the new five-year plan, its importance for the domestic wine industry will only grow."

Speaking about the architecture of the forum, Andrey Reut noted that the program includes issues of comprehensive promotion of the Wine of Russia brand. The agenda of the strategic session will be complemented by special sessions such as "Wine in Architecture" and "Non-alcoholic wine. Problems and solutions", "Russian Wine – promotion through education", "The future of wine through the eyes of scientists" and others.
