Key decisions on security and cooperation were made during the CIS summit in Dushanbe.

The summit of the heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) has ended in Dushanbe, following which a package of joint documents aimed at deepening integration in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres was signed.

According to Ruslan Gagkuev, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Historical Society, the decisions taken confirm the common commitment of the leaders of the participating countries to building a sustainable architecture of Eurasian stability based on mutual respect and a balance of interests.

"Dushanbe is currently a key platform for discussing the Eurasian agenda. The current summit goes beyond a routine event. When the global security architecture is under significant strain and the rhetoric of ultimatums is becoming more widespread, the sustainability of formats based on a culture of dialogue and mutual respect is of particular value. And the CIS confirms its status as such a unique platform," Ruslan Gagkuev noted.

According to him, the figure of Leo Tolstoy is not only a literary genius, but also a source of philosophical ideals of nonviolent interaction. Awarding the prize to the Presidents of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan is an act of international recognition for their concrete efforts to strengthen good neighborliness. This sets the tone for the summit as well, demonstrating that problems can be countered not by confrontation, but by systematic work to find a balance of interests.

"Reaching the current level is the result of consistent work based on the political will, personal responsibility and strategic foresight of the leaders of these countries. We can see how, where previously there were zones of potential tension, today the foundation is being laid for long-term stability and trust. And this cannot but inspire optimism," Ruslan Gagkuev concluded.
