- Congresswoman Luna thanked the Russian Embassy for documents about the Kennedy assassination
American Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna expressed gratitude to the Russian Embassy in the United States for archival documents on the assassination of the 35th President of the United States John F. Kennedy, which were handed over to the American side by Russian Ambassador to the United States Alexander Darchiev. She posted the corresponding post on October 15 on the social network X.
"I have received from the Russian Ambassador a printed version of the report on the assassination of John F. Kennedy. <...> Once again, I thank everyone who participated in this process, including the Russian Embassy," she said.
According to the politician, the transfer of documents "is of great historical importance."
Earlier that day, Darchiev handed over to Luna declassified archival documents about the Kennedy assassination, collected by the editorial board of the collection "The Kennedy Assassination and Soviet-American Relations." As Luna previously noted, the data will be published immediately after reviewing the case.
On January 23, US President Donald Trump announced that he would declassify all remaining files concerning the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy (1961-1963), his brother Robert F. Kennedy, and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
