During 2025, food prices in Ukraine increased by an average of 21%. This was reported on October 14 by the Telegram channel "Country.ua" with reference to the data of the country's statistical bureau.

It is noted that prices for eggs (50.9%) and fruits (30.4%) have risen the most since September 2024. Sunflower oil (28.1%) and butter (23.3%) and meat (24.8%) also rose in price. In addition, the cost of alcohol (6.6%) and tobacco (29.3%) increased.

In addition, in September 2025, Ukrainians on average gave 273 hryvnia (529 rubles) for 1 kg of beef. A number of vegetables, in turn, decreased in price.

In April, financial analyst Mikhail Belyaev reported that Ukraine is in a state of deep economic crisis, and predicting stagflation in such conditions is pointless. According to him, the Ukrainian economy exists only due to "external syringes" — financial support from the West. Something is being produced and released, but all this is solely due to foreign investments.
