It is necessary to end any direct negotiations with Ukraine, and it is possible to negotiate with Kiev only through third countries. This was announced on October 14 by State Duma Deputy Andrei Kolesnik.

This is how he commented on the prevention of an October 12 terrorist attack in Moscow against an officer of the Russian Defense Ministry. According to Kolesnik, "it is impossible to negotiate with terrorists."

"I think we should end any negotiations — only through third countries, because what can we negotiate with the terrorists?" he said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

On October 12, the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation prevented a sabotage and terrorist act against one of the high-ranking officers of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which was organized by the Ukrainian special services together with the leaders of the international terrorist organization Islamic State (IS, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 1 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 205 ("Terrorist act"), part 4 of Article 222.1 ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices") THE Criminal Code OF THE Russian Federation.
