US President Donald Trump has announced his intention to help the Gaza Strip develop economically, including restoring stability and security. This was announced on October 13 by the American leader, speaking in the Knesset (Government of Israel).

"The people of Gaza must focus on restoring the foundations of stability, security, dignity and economic development so that they and their children can finally live in better conditions. They deserve it after decades of horror. I intend to become their partner in this matter. We will help them," he said.

Trump also called on the Palestinians to focus on themselves after the events instead of trying to destroy Israel.

On October 13, Trump announced the end of the conflict in the Gaza Strip and the release of Israeli hostages by the Hamas movement.

On the same day, it became known that the first group of seven Israeli hostages released by the Palestinian Hamas movement had been handed over to the IDF in the Gaza Strip. It was noted that upon their return to Israel, all of them will undergo a medical examination. It was later reported that Hamas had released a second group of 13 hostages.

On October 9, Israel and Hamas signed an agreement on a cease-fire and the release of hostages after indirect talks in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. According to the agreement, the fighting will cease, Israel will partially withdraw from Gaza, and Hamas will release all remaining hostages in exchange for prisoners held in Israel. The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip entered into force on October 10 at 12:00 Moscow time.
