The posthumous bronze mask of the author-performer Vladimir Vysotsky, cast in 1980, will be sold at auction in Monaco on October 21. Representatives of Hermitage Fine Art estimated its value at €100-120 thousand.

"Vladimir Vysotsky's posthumous bronze mask from Marina Vladi's estate, cast in 1980 under her leadership. This mask is the first of three famous bronze masks cast in an original plaster mold created shortly after the artist's death," reads the description on the Hermitage Fine Art website.

It is noted that the initials of Vysotsky's widow and the year of creation are marked on the mask. The original plaster mask was made by Soviet sculptor Yuri Vasiliev, who also created an impression of Vysotsky's left hand.

Earlier, on October 3, a painting by Karl Bryullov "Diana, Endymion and Satyr" was put up for auction in Moscow, its value was $1 million. In addition, Ilya Repin's work "Christ in the Crown of Thorns" from 1913, worth 35 million rubles, is also presented. This is the only surviving work of the artist, which is executed in the technique of mural painting.
