- The government has supported the initiative on preferential second vocational education for its fighters
The Russian government has supported a bill on the provision of free secondary secondary vocational education for participants in a special military operation (SVO). This is evidenced by the official response of the Government, which was reviewed by TASS on October 13.
The bill was prepared by the first vice—speakers of the Federation Council, Vladimir Yakushev and Andrei Yatskin, the leader of the Fair Russia - For Truth party, Sergei Mironov, and the head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, Vladimir Vasiliev.
Amendments are proposed to the law "On Education". The offer applies to conscripts, contract employees, members of volunteer formations and other fighters of a special military operation.
"The government of the Russian Federation supports the bill, provided it is finalized taking into account this comment," TASS quoted the words from the review.
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, said at a meeting with the United Russia faction in the State Duma on September 16 that support for the participants of the SVR and their families was a priority.
On the same day, Ekaterina Kharchenko, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, announced that the autumn session would consider a draft law aimed at eliminating legal inequality concerning special measures to support the stepdaughters and stepsons of ITS participants.
