Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, commenting on the agreement proposed by US President Donald Trump to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip, noted on October 12 that his state had always won victories that "amazed the world."

"Through our joint efforts, we have achieved colossal victories — victories that have amazed the whole world. And I want to say: wherever we fought, we won," The Jerusalem Post newspaper quoted him as saying during an address to the nation.

Netanyahu also stressed that the current situation is still not considered complete, as the parties to the conflict face the task of solving "very serious" security problems. In addition, he added that some of his country's opponents are currently recovering in order to allegedly carry out an attack again, which, according to the Prime Minister, the Jewish state is ready for.

On October 10, Netanyahu announced that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) would remain in the Gaza Strip to put pressure on the Palestinian Hamas movement until the movement's disarmament provisions were implemented. On the same day, the Hamas press service reported that representatives of the movement would not allow the idea of foreign control on their territory, which they would not leave, since it is their homeland.
