- A retired FSB colonel spoke about the connection between Ukrainian nationalists and radicals
Retired FSB Colonel Andrei Myalin told Izvestia on October 13 about the connection between Ukrainian nationalists and radicals.
"If you look deep into the history of the recent period of the first and second Chechen companies, Ukrainian nationalists as part of Chechen militant groups. Now the Ukrainian nationalists are at the head of the Kiev regime, this connection has not gone away," he said.
It is noted that this is not the first time that the Ukrainian special services have resorted to the services of radical Islamists and specifically hired them to organize terrorist attacks and sabotage on the territory of Russia. The target of these methods is usually high-ranking Russian military commanders.
So in December 2024, militants attacked Igor Kirilov, commander of the RCBZ troops. He and his assistant died when they were leaving the house. The explosive device was placed in a scooter. According to Russian intelligence services, Gulomov, a functionary of the Islamic State, was involved in the officer's murder. The attack was being prepared in Ukraine, and the components for explosives disguised as household items were shipped from Poland.
