Erdogan noted the interest of "blood traffickers" in the conflict in Ukraine
Turkey is concerned about the prolonged fighting in Ukraine, so it is in touch with both sides, seeking to end the conflict, which the "blood traffickers" are interested in continuing. This was announced on October 12 by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a speech in Trabzon.
The Turkish leader noted that in conflicts, "blood merchants" often become the real winners, and after they end, the wealth of the "warlords" who benefited from them increases.
"The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for the fourth year. <...> This bloodshed, which periodically escalates, causes concern throughout the world. Turkey pursues a balanced and equitable policy. We are in touch with both countries to stop the conflict and establish peace," he said. His speech was broadcast by the Anadolu agency.
Erdogan added that Ankara attaches special importance to security in the Black Sea, where navigation "should not be threatened."
Prior to that, on September 27, the Turkish leader accused a number of countries of escalating the conflict in Ukraine. He added that while the "war barons" poured gasoline on the fire of military conflict, Turkey has always been looking for ways to achieve a just peace.
Also, after meeting with American leader Donald Trump on September 26, Erdogan announced Ankara's intention to continue to help the Russian and Ukrainian sides in resolving the situation.
