On October 12, US President Donald Trump said that the impeachment attempt against him during his first term as head of state was a fabrication.

He noted that the scale of this falsification surpasses the Watergate scandal.

"The Ukrainian impeachment fraud [against me] was a much bigger and more illegal hoax than Watergate," Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.

He expressed the hope that the relevant authorities, including the American Congress, would investigate the case.
