The Rylsk — Lgov highway in the Kursk region is blocked due to the activity of drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

In the Kursk region, it was temporarily decided to close traffic along the Rylsk — Lgov highway due to the increased activity of drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on October 12 by the governor of the region, Alexander Khinstein.

It is specified that we are talking about a section of road from the city of Rylsk to the village of Ivanovskoye.

"Since the night, the Rylsk—Lgov highway has been under the gun of enemy drones. This is a section of road from the city of Rylsk to the village of Ivanovskoye. A series of enemy attempts have been recorded to attack all cars moving along the highway," the Telegram channel of the head of state says.

For security reasons, the Operational Headquarters restricted the movement of vehicles on the specified segment. It was also decided to block the exit to the highway from the village of Stepanovka. The governor asked the population to refrain from traveling to these destinations.

Earlier that day, Khinstein reported that two people were injured when a Ukrainian drone attacked a car on the Khomutovka—Kalinovka highway in the Khomutovsky district of the Kursk region. A 70-year-old woman has a mine explosion injury, traumatic amputation of her right hand. A 51-year-old man has a shrapnel wound in his right shoulder. They were admitted to a hospital in the Bryansk region.

Also on October 11, a civilian was killed in the village of Biryukovka in the Kursk region as a result of an attack by an APU drone. It was clarified that the drone was attacked by a truck, resulting in the death of the driver.
