The US administration has been providing Kiev with assistance in launching attacks on Russian energy facilities for several months. This was reported on October 12 by the Financial Times (FT), citing American and Ukrainian officials.

"For several months, the United States has been helping Ukraine to launch long—range strikes against Russian energy facilities," the article says.

According to the newspaper, these actions represent "coordinated efforts" aimed at undermining the Russian economy in order to put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the newspaper's sources, the intelligence provided by Washington allowed the Ukrainian side to strike at key energy infrastructure facilities, including oil refineries located deep in the rear.

It clarifies that Washington participates in all stages of planning, helping to determine the parameters of attacks to overcome the air defense system. The United States also provides intelligence on the vulnerabilities of targets and designates its own "priority targets" in Russia, the Newspaper adds.Ru»
