French political scientist Emmanuel Le Roy said that the appointment of Sebastien Lecorny as Prime Minister of France demonstrates the hopelessness of the political situation in the country. He told Izvestia about this on October 10.

According to Leroy, Lecorny's appointment as prime minister after failures in his previous mission in September shows that French President Emmanuel Macron no longer has strategic trump cards. The political scientist noted that the prime minister failed to cope with the first tasks, including voting on pension reform, and now, given the opposition's opposition, there is no reason for his success.

"This decision is truly catastrophic for the future of the French people, because if Lecorny failed in the first part of his mission in September, when he was appointed, then today I do not see what would allow him to succeed in a mission in which he failed, and which, I remind you, is focused on voting. on pension reform," the expert added.

Leroy concluded that the situation with Macron's government is extremely unstable, and France is likely to face a new Lecorny failure. He also added that in the short term, it is possible to dissolve the National Assembly, as proposed by Marine Le Pen of the National Association.

The re-election of Lecorny, who resigned of his own accord, to the post of Prime Minister of France became known on the same day. The Prime Minister, who began his first term in office with the lowest rating, explained his decision to leave by saying that he lacked the conditions for the work of the government.
