Representatives of the US Army's special forces units were preparing for a potential conflict with Russia, which also involved NATO troops. This was reported on October 8 by The National Interest (NI) magazine.

"In the summer, the army's Green Berets (the equivalent name of the US special forces) collaborated with European special forces, preparing for a conflict with Russia. During two separate exercises, army special forces soldiers worked with Polish and British special operations forces," the publication says.

According to the publication, the exercises took place both on the territory of Poland, where the landing and evacuation of soldiers using CH-47 helicopters were practiced, and on the territory of Colorado, where they rehearsed the assault, capture and elimination of a potential target.

The British newspaper Financial Times (FT) reported on October 9 that the North Atlantic Alliance is considering the possibility of conducting military exercises on the border with Russia. As part of these measures, as emphasized in the text, actions will be worked out in more remote and unguarded areas of the area.
