A court in Moscow has arrested Pavel Syutkin, a blogger and historian of Russian cuisine, in a case involving the public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This was announced on October 9 by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.

"A court in the capital has chosen a preventive measure for a blogger known as the "historian of Russian cuisine" in the case of the public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that Syutkin was charged with committing a crime under paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation"). He was arrested for 2 months.

The day before, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened against Syutkin. According to investigators, the blogger posted publications on his Telegram channel that, according to psychological and linguistic research, contain false information about the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine.
