The joint Russian-Chinese film aroused the obvious interest of Chinese viewers. In early September, it launched at the box office and in just three weeks entered the top five box office in China. As a result, the rental was extended for another month.
And while everyone is discussing this success, the National Media Group (NMG) has reported that filming for the sequel has already begun. It will be called "Black Silk", and it is going to be shot in November, including in China.
The Russian-Chinese historical blockbuster "Red Silk" was widely released in China on September 6. At the same time, Chinese viewers shared their impressions after watching the painting. The film will be shown until October 10.
The film was created with the participation of NMG Kinoprokat, a company that is part of the National Media Group holding. The film's distributor in China is the largest film corporation, China Film Group.
