The head of Gazprom announced the approach of an abnormally cold winter in Europe
On October 9, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller warned on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum about the likelihood of an abnormally cold winter in Europe and the European part of Russia.
"We know that once in 10 years there is a cold winter, and once in 20 years there is an abnormally cold winter," TASS quoted him as saying.
He clarified that such a forecast could mean temperatures of up to minus 25 degrees throughout the European part of Russia.: from the Murmansk region to the Krasnodar Territory.
Earlier in the day, forecaster, meteorologist, climatologist Alexander Shuvalov, in an interview with Izvestia, warned that snow could fall in Moscow in the last days of October. In addition, the forecaster added that temperature fluctuations are expected in the coming weeks.
