Evolute introduces the new generation i-Joy crossover in Russia
The company Evolute, which manufactures cars in the Lipetsk region, has introduced a new generation of electric crossover i-Joy in Russia. The brand's press service shared details about the model with Izvestia on October 9. Dates for the start of sales and prices have not yet been announced.
The new Evolve i-Joy differs from its predecessor in a completely different design, which is dominated by "square" shapes and sharp edges. The model is based on the Quantum S3 platform. The length of the electric car is 4306 mm with a wheelbase of 2715 mm.
The model is equipped with a 163-horsepower electric motor with 290 Nm of torque, acceleration from zero to "hundred" takes 8 seconds, front-wheel drive. The fast charging time of a traction battery with a capacity of 51.87 kWh from 30 to 80% is 18 minutes. The power reserve on a full charge is up to 471 km (according to the CLTC cycle).
The list of equipment includes a panoramic roof, a 12.8-inch multimedia system display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging for a smartphone, and an electric tailgate. The body palette will include five shades, the interior will be presented in two color options.
On October 1, it was reported that the primary list of cars published by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation that meet the requirements of the law on taxi localization included cars of the brands Evolute, as well as Lada, UAZ, Sollers, Moskvich and Voyah.
On September 11, Evolve announced the launch of sales of the updated version of the i-Space hybrid crossover in Russia. The crossover, manufactured at a factory in the Lipetsk region, is available in one configuration and two versions — a five-seater and a seven-seater.
