Gazprom and Kazakhstan signed a document on the implementation of a new gas pipeline project

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Roman Sklyar, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, signed a memorandum on the implementation of the project for the construction of a new main gas pipeline from Russia to Kazakhstan. This was announced on October 8 by the press service of the Russian energy company.

"The parties' commitment to long—term cooperation was noted, taking into account Kazakhstan's increasing demand for natural gas," the Telegram channel said.

In addition, an agreement was signed on the basic conditions for the long-term processing of Kazakh gas in Russia. The document establishes agreements on cooperation in the field of gas processing of the Karachaganak field at the facilities of the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant, which will be modernized.

On September 25, the Governor of the Sakhalin Region, Valery Limarenko, announced that the Sakhalin-3 project would be launched in 2028. He also added that Gazprom intends to send part of the project's gas condensate for deep processing.
