Corporal Maxim Rybkin from the supply group, while delivering ammunition to Russian troops in the combat zone, came under intense mortar fire and drone attacks from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told about the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Russia in the area of a special military operation on October 8.

While moving towards the positions, Rybkin's car came under fire and attacks from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Despite the danger, the corporal, showing driving skills in difficult conditions, managed to lead the car away from the attack and deliver ammunition to the front line on time.

This allowed the Russian troops to hold their positions and launch a counteroffensive. Thanks to the bravery and determination of Corporal Rybkin, the Russian military were provided with the necessary ammunition, which contributed to the successful completion of combat missions.

The Russian Defense Ministry also highly appreciated the vigilance and efficiency shown by Private Ivan Cook. During his military training, while at the observation post, Private Cook carried out visual surveillance of the airspace in the area of responsibility of his unit. He was the first to notice a quadcopter-type UAV approaching the positions of the Russian troops.

Immediately reporting the discovery of the drone, the private received an order to destroy it. Having opened targeted fire, Cook was shot down by an enemy drone with accurate shots from his personal weapon. The drone fell short of the Russian military positions and exploded without harming the personnel. Thanks to the timely and professional actions of the fighter, it was possible to prevent the attack of an enemy drone on Russian positions and avoid casualties among the personnel.

On October 6, the Russian Defense Ministry told how Sergeant Viktor Kretsu, selflessly doing everything possible to save the lives and health of his comrades, assisted and evacuated more than 30 Russian servicemen to a medical center. It was clarified that the fighter was carrying out medical support tasks, despite the incessant fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
